Welcome to Inari Camping & Resort. Our story is only just beginning, and we hope you’ll all join us in shaping it together.
We are a year-round campsite and resort dedicated to providing customer-focused service whilst respecting the area’s natural heritage and history.
We aim to be an approachable venue for our guests, offering a positive atmosphere and friendly customer service, whilst still providing modern facilities.
Our resort rooms, due for completion in 2025, and the service building – which is for the shared use of all guests in the area – will provide guests with additional modern and practical facilities.
In addition to reception, the service building houses a fully equipped kitchen area, toilets and showers, and an electric sauna, all available for use by all guests. A television and board games are also available for guests’ use.
In Inari, summers are warm and winters are cold and snowy. These conditions influence what we get up to. In summer, we go fishing, explore the countryside and go boating. In autumn, we pick berries and other fruits, not to mention chaga mushrooms. In winter, we enjoy the Northern Lights, snowy landscapes, skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. In spring, we marvel at the increasing light and enjoy the spring thaw.
We respect the natural character of the old village school grounds and the authentic surroundings, carrying out renovations and improvements whilst taking these aspects into account.
We aim to provide a comprehensive service not only to guests at Inari Camping & Resort, but also to local residents, holiday home owners and other visitors to the area. Local residents and holiday home owners are also welcome to use the public sauna sessions for a small fee. You can also book saunas for private use, and in addition to the saunas, you can use the washing machine and tumble dryer for a small fee. If you fancy a trip out on the lake, canoes, rowing boats and motorboats are available for hire. In winter, snowshoes are also available.
We are a family business whose love for Inari and Lapland was first kindled during our hiking trips as young people. As adults, we bought a cottage in the area, and after years of spending our holidays there, the opportunity arose to purchase an old village school building, complete with its grounds, in the parish village.
That first winter, we organised an ice sculpture exhibition in the grounds, where a local artist had created the designs and professional ice sculptors came to carve them. Following this, the coronavirus pandemic, which shook the whole world, brought the area to a standstill for around 1.5 years. In the summer of 2021, however, we decided to open a camping and resort area in the area that would be open all year round. The new resort rooms, opened in 2025, and the service building at the campsite provided modern and practical facilities for our guests.
